DIABETIC NEUROPATHY
Diabetic
neuropathy is a nerve disorder caused by diabetes. Diabetic
neuropathy symptoms include pain,
tingling, or numbness in the hands, arms, feet, and legs.
Nerve problems can also occur in the digestive tract, heart,
and other organs.
Diabetic neuropathy is
more common in people who:
- have problems
controlling their blood sugar levels
- have
high levels of blood fat and blood pressure
- are
overweight
Diabetic neuropathy symptoms
include:
- numbness,
tingling, or pain in the toes, feet, legs, hands, arms,
and fingers
- muscle
wasting of the feet or hands
- indigestion
and nausea
- diarrhea
or constipation
- dizziness or faintness
on standing
